Owner of art studio where Crumbleys was arrested for cooperating, Oakland County police will investigate mobile devices

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) — Police say Andrzej Sikora, the artist whose studio James and Jennifer Crumbley were found, is cooperating.

James and Jennifer Crumbley, who face manslaughter charges, were found Saturday morning inside a Detroit commercial building. Lawyers for the couple have said they have no plans to flee, contradicting authorities who have charged them with evading capture for their alleged role in a school shooting that left four people dead. Their 15-year-old son, Ethan Crumbley, has been charged as an adult with murder, terrorism and other crimes.

Now, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office says Sikora is cooperating with their investigation.

“We have two cell phones, two tablets and a computer in our possession that are undergoing forensic examination and could take up to 10 days to complete,” Deputy Sheriff Michael McCabe told News 10.[Sikora] cooperated with our investigation.

The investigation continues while the injured are still recovering physically. A 17-year-old student from St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Oakland was removed from the ICU today and transferred to a standard room. She will stay there for 4 to 6 weeks to rehabilitate.

On Friday, Oxford is expected to resume classes.
