A state-of-the-art studio complex, London Film Studios is launched in North London

London Film Studios (LFS), a new state-of-the-art studio complex on the banks of the River Lee Navigation in Enfield, North London, has opened with a busy schedule of productions already confirmed. The brainchild of Danny Hayward, who co-founded SHL Film & TV Lighting in 2008, LFS features five fully equipped stages with further units opening in 2023 and is the latest high-tech studio solution for the film, entertainment, and entertainment industries. television and creation. Currently, the LFS complex consists of a U-shape stage (Stage A), a drive-up green screen stage (Stage B), and a smaller U-shape stage ( Stage C), a black stage (Stage D) and a warehouse stage (Stage E). Full details of the five stages can be found on the LFS website and are detailed below in the Editor’s Notes. LFS is available for bookings now and more information can be found by visiting the London Film Studios website.

London Film Studios is a purpose-built studio solution for any film, television or creative agency wanting a flexible space. Deliberately designed from a gaffer’s perspective, London Film Studios offers a unique infrastructure unlike any other stage complex. All stages are equipped with motorized grilles, and they all have dual aspect three-phase power sources, one on each side of the stage and one specifically for dimmer packs, eliminating the need for cables on one side to the other.

“London Film Studios was an obvious and natural extension of the SHL brand and I’m proud of the truly unique space we’ve created. It’s an exciting time for the film and television industries and there’s never been a better time to bring LFS to market. Ultimately, we believed SHL could do better for the studios and London Film Studios is the result of that ambition,” commented London Film Studios owner Danny Hayward.

Due to its location, London Film Studios was able to benefit from start-up support through the Productive Valley Fund, a business support fund between Upper Lee Valley Enfield, Haringey and Waltham Forest councils. The Productive Valley Fund provides a range of financial support for businesses, including assistance with finding premises, advice on business planning and financing, advice on exporting and help with recruiting staff.
